Our Story
Cornerstone wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was forged in the trenches of rural healthcare—within the controlled chaos of Critical Access emergency departments, the grit of late-night board meetings, and the quiet dedication of rural labor and delivery units.
As a Physician Assistant, a Registered Nurse, and a Life Safety Expert, we spent decades on the front lines. We saw dedicated clinicians burning out and passionate leaders sidelined by one-size-fits-all solutions from consultants who didn't understand our world. After a chance meeting at an accreditation conference, we asked: What if a management company was built by the people who actually do the work?
What if change wasn’t dictated, but cultivated from the bottom up? That question became our mission and led to our transition into a non-profit corporation. By removing the profit-first motives of traditional consulting, we’ve aligned our success entirely with yours.
